About Chris Brodnan

Chris Brodnan is a nonprofit consultant, philanthropic advisor, community volunteer leader, and dedicated advocate. Her passion is working to ensure ALL members of the community, especially those living in under-resourced neighborhoods, have access to the opportunities they need to be successful.

Through her years of professional experience and volunteer leadership, Chris has a proven track record building coalitions, as well as a history of evaluating and creating assessment strategies, developing and leading trainings, providing program coaching and motivating others. A natural connector and convener, Chris is driven by utilizing data to inform decision making and improve program quality and performance. 

Chris has more than 10 years of professional nonprofit experience in the education and youth development field in Atlanta. Most recently, Chris served four+ years as the Regional Program Director at Horizons Atlanta, where she led and supported regional programming of the ten Horizons Atlanta sites in the metro area, ensuring program quality and fidelity. She transitioned into this role after serving as the Director at Horizons Atlanta at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, where she executed all aspects of the program site, from fundraising and development to managing teachers, volunteers, and advisory board members. Previously, Chris worked at the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Atlanta Civic Site, managing a portfolio of community stakeholders invested in improving educational outcomes for children. 

An active community volunteer leader, Chris serves on the boards of The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc., Neighborhood Nexus, and Literacy Action. She also spends time volunteering at her family's church and her children's schools. 

Chris earned a Bachelor in Arts from Emory University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish and a Master in Public Administration from the University of Georgia, focusing in Nonprofit Administration. 

She and her husband live in Atlanta with their son and daughter.
